En el 2018 obtuve el grado de Doctor en Filosofía por la Universidad de Glasgow y por la Sorbona (Paris IV) con la tesis The unpleasantness of pain (Lo desagradable del dolor). Previamente estudié la maestría en Ciencias Cognitivas en la École Normale Supérieure, en París, y la licenciatura en filosofía, en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UNAM.

Los últimos dos años trabajé como Profesor Titular-C, con tiempo completo, en la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional (UPN). Fui responsable de la Casa de Cultura del mismo recinto universitario y del proyecto CESPII El valor del sufrimiento: cómo aprendemos quiénes somos.

Mi principal línea de investigación es la filosofía del sufrimiento y del dolor. Mi proyecto posdoctoral tiene dos ejes. Por un lado, ofrecer una teoría sobre la fenomenología del dolor y del sufrimiento, en particular sobre su intensidad. Por el otro, proponer una teoría de la identidad social y cultural a partir del sufrimiento emocional y colectivo.

In 2018, I received a PhD degree from both the University of Glasgow and Sorbonne University (Paris IV) with the thesis The unpleasantness pain. Previously, I studied a master's degree in Cognitive Sciences at the École Normale Supérieure, in Paris, and a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, at UNAM.

During the last two years, I worked full-time, as Profesor Titular-C, at the National Pedagogical University (UPN). I was responsible for the House of Culture on the campus and for the CESPII project The value of suffering: how we learn who we are.

My research focuses on the philosophy of suffering and pain. My postdoctoral project has two main goals. On the one hand, to offer a theory that accounts for the phenomenology of pain and suffering, in particular their intensity. On the other hand, to propose a theory of social and cultural identity based on emotional and collective suffering.
