UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL AUTÓNOMA DE MÉXICO INSTITUTO DE INVESTIGACIONES FILOSÓFICAS

The 2nd IIFs-UNAM Philosophy Graduate Conference is an event organized by philosophy students from the same university. The main goal is to promote the academic interchange among the graduate students from different universities, the distinguished keynote speaker, and the philosophical community.

The event will be held on March 9^th and 10^th.  According to the conference timetable, the sessions will take place from 10:00 to 14:00 hours and from 16:00 to 20:00 hours. The keynote speaker is François Recanati (Institut Jean Nicod).The conference will have the participation of seven graduate students who will expose their papers during a talk and will receive a reply by a student chosen by the organizing committee.

Talks offered by the following graduate students: Douglas Blue (Harvard University), A. Arturo Javier Castellanos (Syracuse University), Melisa Gutiérrez Vivanco (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), Kevin J. Lande (University of California, Los Angeles), Freya Mobus (Cornell University), Georgia R. Rainer (Florida State University), and Manuel Rodeiro (City University of New York).

Additionally, the sessions will be moderated by researchers from the institute who have experience in working on different areas of philosophy and in the organization of seminars.

El 2º Congreso de Estudiantes de Posgrado del IIFs-UNAM es un evento organizado por estudiantes asociados de filosofía de esa misma universidad. Su finalidad principal es promover el intercambio académico entre los estudiantes de posgrado de diferentes universidades, el conferencista magistral y la comunidad filosófica de la universidad.

El evento tendrá lugar los días miércoles 9 y jueves 10 de marzo con horario de 10:00-14:00 horas y de 16:00-20:00 horas. La conferencia magistral estará a cargo de François Recanati (Institut Jean Nicod). El congreso contará con la participación de siete estudiantes de posgrado, quienes expondrán sus trabajos y recibirán una réplica a cargo de un estudiante escogido por el comité organizador.
